• You will see two options, 32-bit and 64-bit. Select that option, which your PC supports.
• Then, select a destination to download the Reolink zip file and save it.
• When the download is complete, unzip the Reolink zip file.
• To install the app, double click the file. The Riolink Client Setup pop-up appears.
• Click “Yes” button.
• Then, Riolink Client Setup wizard appears. Click “Next” button.

• Adjust Device Order: In this option, you can set the cams sequentially according to your needs.
• Add Devices Automatically: Cameras can be added to the device list automatically via LAN.
• Data Usage Warning: Be alert when playing videos with cellular data.
• Hardware Decoding: If this option is enabled, the phone’s hardware is used for decoding while playing a video. Disable the option if it is not compatible with the device. (only for Android)
• Stretch Mode: Camera resolution 4: 3. This option needs to be enabled to stretch the live view image 16: 9 ratio.
• APP Password: If you want to set a password to protect the app, you need to enable this option. You have to enter the password while opening the app. If you forget the password, you need to uninstall and reinstall the app.
• Change Password: This option can be used to change the previous password. (only for Android)
• Storage Path: This option is used to specify space for downloading images or video records. (only for Android)
• Join User Experience Program: You can join this program to share the experience you have gained using Reolink products or services. This allows Reolink to know their problems and to solve them. There is no hassle to join or exit this program.
• Best Server Connection: Using this option, the cameras can connect to the available servers. And can select the most powerful server.

Initial Setup for Cameras(Using Reolink App)

Reolink Battery-powered Cameras

• Insert the battery into the camera. After a few moments you can hear: “Camera has been started up. Please run Reolink App, add the camera and set it up.” . If you do not hear it, reset the camera.
• Launch the app. Click ““.
• Scan the camera’s QR code. If you can’t scan, click Enter. Then, type 16-digits characters manually.
• Click “Wi-Fi Not Configured” and then, click “I have heard the voice prompt”. Click the Next button.
• Enter the WIFI password and click the Next button.
• Then, a QR code will be created on your phone and displayed on the display.
• Hold the QR code in front of the camera lens so that the camera can scan the code.
• When the scan is complete, check “I have heard the voice prompt” and click the Next button.
• “Create a login password” and “Name your camera”.
• Click “Use Now”.

How do I add Reolink cameras and NVRs using the Reolink app?

Follow the steps below to add Reolink cameras and NVRs using the Reolink app on your smartphone.

• First, download and install the updated version from the App Store or Reolink’s download page. You can also download and install this app by scanning the QR code.
• Ensure net connection with all your devices and phone.
• OR, go the App Settings page and enable the “Add Devices Automatically” function.
• OR, open the app on your phone. Click the “” icon on the top right.

• You can also add a device by scanning the QR code for local access.

• Click “” for remote access. By clicking Enter the device information will be saved to the phone manually and you can access the devices via IP / DDNS or UID.

• Click “WiFi Already Configured” to check if the cameras are set up.

• Enter the username and password to access the device and click Login.

Note: The default username is “admin” and the password is blank. If you change or forget the password, you need to reset the device. You can add many devices in this way.

What is UID?

UID stands for Unique ID. This is a 16-character code that allows you to access Reolink cameras or NVRs from anywhere. You need to ensure internet connection through a router on Reolink cameras or NVRs. Then, with usernames, passwords and UID, access Reolink devices remotely.

What are the methods to find out the UID of Reolink devices?

There are two methods to find out the UID of Reolink devices.

Method 1

If you are using a Reolink camera, you will see a sticker with QR code on the back of the device, which contains the camera’s UID.

Or, if you are using Reolink NVR, you will see a sticker with QR code in the top shell, which contains the UID.

Method 2

Using Reolink App for Smartphone

• Open the Reolink app on the phone. Click the “” icon. Go to the device settings page.

• The UID can be retrieved even if the device is not connected.

• Click “Share Camera”. The sharing QR code will be displayed. Then, follow the instructions.

• Click HERE to add a device using the Reolink app.

Using Reolink Client for Windows

• Login to Cameras or NVRs from your Windows PC. Then go to device settings.

• Click the Network Advanced page on the left. Then, go to the Advanced page. Check to enable UID or uncheck to disable UID. Then click the OK button.

Using Reolink Client for Mac

• Login to Cameras or NVRs from your mac OS PC. Then go to device settings.
• Click the Network option on the left. Then, go to the Other Settings page. Check Use P2P to enable UID or uncheck Use P2P to disable UID. Then click the Save button.

Note: Not for battery-powered cameras or NVR Kits.

Using Web Browsers

• Connect the device to the router’s LAN port using an Ethernet cable. Power on the device. Connect your PC to the same network via router.
• Login to the device through the web browser.
• Click the Settings button.

• Click the Network menu on the left. Then, go to the Advanced page. Check to enable UID or uncheck to disable UID.

How do I change the Reolink cam login password?

Follow the steps below to change the Reolink cam login password from your Android or iOS device.

• First, open the device’s Reolink app and log in to the camera you want to change the login password for.
• Then, go to the “Devices” menu and click on the Settings (gear) icon.
• At the very bottom, click on the More or Advanced option. Next, go to “User Management” and click “Admin”.
• Click “Change Password”. Then, enter the old password and set a new password, confirm the new password.
• Finally, click “Save”.
